Pseudoscience:

A theory, methodology, or practice that is considered to be without scientific foundation.
a discipline or approach that pretends to be or has a close resemblance to science.
an activity resembling science but based on fallacious assumptions.

Apperception:

Conscious perception with full awareness. Also called comprehension.

The process of understanding by which newly observed qualities of an object are related to past experience.
Conscious discernment of a sensory stimulus, understanding its significance as interpreted through one's own emotional outlook, experiences, and prior knowledge.
